![]() ![]() of all 54 blocks is sanded smooth and your hands are numb from the vibration of the sander, it’s time to paint the ends! We picked two complimentary colors that we had on hand and painted both ends of 27 blocks (half of the 54 total) in each color. If you’re looking for the easiest and most simple version of this project, stack the blocks in your Radio Flyer and call it done! If you’d like to add a bit of visual interest and open up the possibility of an alternate version of the standard Jenga game, it’s time to paint! 3| Paint, Paint, Paint We sanded a small bevel on the corners and made sure to give each freshly cut end a thorough sanding as well. The combination turned out to be a happy medium between smoothing the surfaces of the wood and removing any rough spots. If there’s not a power sander in your tool arsenal already, this project would likely be a good excuse to invest in one! We used 220 grit paper on medium speed with our random orbital sander (similar, ours is discontinued). Sanding removes any pesky splinters and ensures that your pieces slide as smoothly as possible. This is the most time-consuming step of the project, but also the most important. We’ll recycle our scraps as kindling for our next Tree House bonfire! 2| Sand, Sand, Sand. These only have the potential to snag on other pieces and make the game much less fun. ![]() Remember, a nominal 2″ x 3″ actually measures 1.5″ x 2.5″, so we’re shooting for exactly 7.5″ per piece.Īs cuts are made, it’s a good idea to remove any nasty knots or crummy boards. The goal here is for the length of one cut board to equal the exact width of three boards stacked side by side. We find that any time we’re making multiple cuts of the same length, clamping a slug to the miter saw’s fence will speed things up significantly! Just be sure to make a test cut or two to ensure things are measuring accurately. The first step in the process is to cut all of the boards to 7.5″ length. Two different colors of paint (optional). It might not be a bad idea to also grab an extra board or two as backup!) (Note: Be sure to select the straightest boards with the fewest knots. Five or more 2″ x 3″ x 8′ boards cut to 7.5″ pieces.A set made from 2″ x 3″ lumber is still substantial in size and measures 27″ tall before the first move! 2″ x 3″ lumber is also lighter and easier to store and transport, so it seemed like the best fit for us! Supplies Needed Many of the giant Jenga tutorials we were able to find online suggested using 2″ x 4″ boards, but in doing a bit of research, we found that a 2″ x 3″ board reflects the scale of original Jenga (1.5cm x 2.5cm x 7.5cm) exactly. Or you could spend a fun afternoon working in the garage and put the $110 you’ve saved toward food and drink to enjoy while you marvel at your woodworking skills. I understand that there probably werent enough resources to do more, but fetch quests could get a little tedious at times. While it's nice that there are as many houses to explore as there are, repeating the same seven houses seven times takes away some of the mystery, because you know where the Items are hidden every time. Sadly, one of the things that slightly breaks the immersion are the reused assets. Never before has a game made me take a break to think about what I would choose, but this game did. This is legitimately one of the best morality systems in games Ive ever played, as there are no simple "good" and helpful or "evil" and self-serving choices, each Choice is bad, and you just have to choose which is the lesser or two (or three) evils. Each one is fully voiced, and the acting is believable, and help add to the weight of this games incredibly good moral system. The Characters also make the City feel more alive. The decay and decadence of the fully fleshed out city is definitely tangible, be it through the weeping NPCs grilling rats over an oil drum, or the rotting whale carcasses, you know this isn't a pleasant place to be, and the atmospheric music doesn't alternate much, but the few tracks that are there are good. The City looks horrible, and I mean that in the best sense possible. It's clear that the Devs had a lot of Love for the source material. The Influence from the more popular tales like The shadow over Innsmouth or Call of Cthulhu is deffinitly in the forefront, but the small references to tales like Arthur Jermyn or Charles Dexter Ward make every case exciting, having the player guessing which deity, which easter egg might be around the next corner. As I had just finished the complete fiction of Lovecraft shortly before I started this game, I was delighted to see a Plethora of references to his short stories right off the bat. Overall a 5/10, average game.ģ5h PlayedThe Players opinion on this game will greatly be influenced by one thing: whether or not they have read Lovecraft's literature or not. Music really adds to the atmosphere but the menu theme can get tiring to listen to after waiting at the loading screen. Nice detail that you can change outfits(even though you have to complete longass quests to unlock them). Every time you dive and ascend the game plays the same cutscene(wtf is this repetitive shit). Graphics are average, and like I said, the game is capped at 60fps. Although he makes humorous comments in the most dark discoveries. Interesting characters instead of the main one for which you don't know much about his backstory. Choices are seemingly important but ultimately drive you to the same two endings. Clue gathering and piecing together the facts using the MC's abilities is very interesting. Fast travel happens between phone booths(catch is you gotta be at a phone booth to fast travel). The Story and lore are very interesting(as anyone would expect from a Lovecraft inspired story). Quests make you find and mark by yourself the location on the map which was fun the first 5 times(after 20 times it became so boring that I had to search up the locations). In the world you can find phone booths. Then everyone runs away and the fucking policemen don't shoot them down. ![]() When you enter a building and run away from the enemies they chase you outside. ![]() Sanity mechanic is very good and adds to the tension of battle. ![]() Underwater combat sucks because it consists of shooting enemies with the harpoon to stun them while you run away(apparently they cant be killed by getting pierced several times by a fucking harpoon). Stealth is useful for creeping up an unaware enemy and emptying the lead storm in his ass before he can dodge. ![]() Melee attack is only useful for the crawling enemy that dies in one hit(after you upgrade the melee attack) because it doesn't stagger the enemies enough for you to dodge. However if you run out of bullets you can scavenge, save and quit then scavenge the same container for more materials(broken ass loot mechanic). You have to scavenge for materials to craft bullets for your guns, bombs, and meds. The combat is unforgiving (especially when you miss shots due to the damn frame drops). First of all the game is capped at ~60 fps which is trash cause I often get fps drops during combat ect. 20h ProgressA Single Player Horror Story Driven Shooter. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sure, the tops of the quarter panels could use wet-sanding and the trunk needs a respray, but those small details aside, this Maverick is visually perfect. A set of period-correct mag wheels up the curb appeal, while raised white letter Cooper Cobra tires are just the icing on the cake. From the pristine interior to the decent black paint, this is a remarkably presentable car. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a four-door Maverick this minty. The seller claims that it needs wiring done and engine accessories fitted, but that doesn’t seem to bad when you look at the rest of the car. Or at least, you could if this Maverick ran. Even better, it’s hitched to a five-speed manual gearbox which means you can slam gears with the best of them. We start in the engine compartment where we find not a Thriftpower inline-six, but a five-liter Windsor V8. This economical compact car succeeded the Falcon in North America, and it was normally regarded as perfectly ‘70s transportation. Normally, a Ford Maverick isn’t what most people would build a fun little street car out of. On the plus side, it does have a remarkably low 87,271 miles showing on the cluster, and it’s a genuinely usable sports coupe with decent rear seat access and all manner of modern amenities. Sure, this one has an oil pressure light that comes and goes, but forward propulsion is sure to last longer than the food at the Miami Grand Prix. Expect to do some light welding on the sills. This particular RX-8 is an Ohio car, so it’s on the crusty side of things. These powerplants make the process of internal combustion feel massless, freely surging to redline on command. If you’ve never driven a car with a rotary engine, it’s an experience worth having. You can keep your bump-steering AP1 Honda S2000s, I’ll gladly revel in the RX-8’s lithe chassis and willing two-rotor engine. Secretly, the RX-8 was the best-driving Japanese sports car of the 2000s. The batshit M12 F1 engine of the ’80s used the rugged M10 engine block as a base, maxing out BMW’s engine dyno at 1,280 horsepower. Best of all, the E21 320i has a distant F1 connection. Plus, the owner claims to have Euro bumpers, and those have a value on their own. Given that this one’s up for sale in Sacramento, I wouldn’t expect any huge rust problems either. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but with little mass to shove around and five forward gears to row, the 320i is still a fun little runabout.īeneath the heavily-oxidized paint lies a remarkably nice interior with nice door cards and remarkably well-kept seats. Being a late 320i, this one features fuel injection and a jaunty 101 horsepower. While Europe was able to enjoy inline-six power, American-market E21s came with the M10 four-cylinder engine. In fact, these little oft-forgotten 3-ers are fun, affordable classics, combining a little bit of 2002 charm with modernity more in-line with the vaunted E30. The E30 gets all the glory, but that doesn’t mean the E21 is a bad car. ![]() When it comes to classic BMW 3-Series models, there’s certainly a hierarchy. The world is abuzz about this, with The Daily Mail writing “‘ Fyre Festival vibes’: Miami Grand Prix is slammed for extortionate food prices as fan shares snap of awful $42 ‘Wagyu steak sandwich’ – and menu lists lobster rolls for a HUGE $450.” Wow that’s a long headline. If I’ve done the math correctly, every menu item together adds up to $4,565, which is a lot of money for what is essentially the menu for any restaurant with the word “social” or an ampersand in its name. Since the items are said to serve four, the nachos end up costing about $69 a person, and the empanadas are around $88 a head! I hope it will not be difficult for you to trace the general outline of the trunk and legs of an elephant. By the way, the elephant’s legs are like columns, and the feet are flattened, almost round. Compare, for example, with the thickness of the legs. Do not make the elephant’s trunk too thin or too thick. It is not difficult to draw a trunk according to the existing contour marking, and the ear can be drawn in any shape. By the way, the scope of his ears is equal to the length of an elephant, keep this in mind. Start this step by outlining the trunk and the huge ear of an elephant. In the next step, we will draw a general outline of the elephant, and then it will be seen that he is walking. Draw the left leg slightly raised, to do this, lift the contour of the upper part of the leg a little, and turn the lower part to the left. The elephant in our figure is moving, this movement can be transmitted using the position of the legs. Well, now it will be much easier to draw an elephant, we have the main contours, it remains only to add foot contours to the drawing. These are just the preliminary contours necessary for marking the proportions and location in the drawing of the parts of the trunk of the elephant, which will need to be removed in the future. It is not necessary to observe the geometric accuracy of these contours, you see, for me, these contours are also drawn rather casually. Connect these figures, approximately as shown in my figure, it will be the neck of an elephant. At a small distance to the right, draw a circle of smaller diameter for the head. How to draw a realistic elephant step by step?īegin the drawing with the original outline in the form of a large circle for the trunk. The photo below shows what should be taken into account in creating the picture. First, a sketch is drawn, which later acquires distinctive features and drawing. First, the author studies the structure of the skeleton, the location of each bone, its shape, length, and even proportionality. An artist’s work always begins with anatomy. But the “living” likeness, including anatomy, shape, and outline, is quite suitable for the beginning of creativity. Adults are unlikely to like a simple drawing based on lines. ![]() ![]() Originally an iPad exclusive, Nebo has since expanded to include other platforms (Windows 10 if you've got a Surface Pen, and Android devices that use active stylus peripherals).
